Ned Lamont’s recent appointment of Beth Bye to a key position in the Governor’s administration has created an opening in the 5th District of the Connecticut State Senate.
The Democratic nominee for the 5th Senate District is Derek Slap, current Connecticut State Representative for the 19th District, which includes a portion of Farmington and all of West Hartford.
Connecticut’s 5th Senate District is comprised of a most of Farmington, all of West Hartford and Burlington and a portion of Bloomfield.
A special election will be held on Tuesday, February 26th.
